heart of Tanjung Aru, our parish has been a spiritual landmark for
the Catholic community in Kota Kinabalu since 1958.
Just as our name, Stella Maris (Star of the Sea) suggests, we strive
to be a guiding light for all who seek God’s grace. Whether you are a
lifelong parishioner, a student from our neighboring mission schools,
or a visitor just passing through our beautiful seaside town, there is
a place for you here.
Our parish is more than just a building; it is a vibrant family. From the
solemn beauty of our Eucharist celebrations to the active service of
our various ministries, we are dedicated to living out the Gospel
through love, fellowship, and community outreach.
